  • About Chris

     

    Christopher Martinez brings more than twenty-five years of experience coaching and training people, teams and organizations. He has been a trusted advisor to executives, managers and front-line staff at large corporations and non-profits including Gilead Sciences, Nestlé USA, Inc., Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and City of Hope.

     

    He specializes in providing coaching that capitalizes on each individual’s innate strengths. His mission is to guide others to discover and unleash their often hidden potential. Chris leverages a variety of mental models to help others gain powerful insights to drive greater results and increase overall happiness. He is passionate about starting with the positive to overcome obstacles and to gently tackle areas for improvement.

     

    Chris also brings deep expertise in architecting and managing large-scale talent development programs including culture transformations; training and change management for software system implementations; professional development conferences; and onboarding programs.

     

    His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and English from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, where he served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses.

     

    Chris brings a contagious and infectious enthusiasm to his work and provides a supportive environment to inspire growth.

     

    In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with hsi family and friends, traveling, cooking and weight-lifting.

     

     

    Project Highlights

     

    Culture Transformations: Co-led the transformation of a hospital’s culture with a five-person team.

     

    ERP Implementations: Led change management efforts for a large software system implementation at a manufacturing facility for a Fortune 300 company.

     

    Leadership Development: Built a new year-round, leadership development program for a large cancer research hospital. Topics included: performance coaching, team building, effective meetings, change management, (lean) process improvement, and career development.

     

    Learning Conferences: Directed a 90+ person team to host an annual, week-long learning and personal development conference offering 100+sessions to 2,000+ participants.

     

    Onboarding Programs: Designed and developed a monthly, week-long onboarding program that accelerated New Hire performance and decreased employee turnover for a mid-size manufacturing company.

     

    Voting Solutions: Developed and coached a new training department to enable the launch of LA County's Voting Solution for all People (VSAP).
